Materials and finishes guide

Use this page to choose the right material for your project. Different materials are designed for different surfaces, lifespans, and environments (indoor vs. outdoor). If you’re not sure what to pick, start with the “Best for” line in each section.

White vinyl

Your go-to for decals that work. Choose permanent for long-term staying power or removable for easy updates—either way, you get smooth, professional prints made for real-world use.

Permanent Vinyl

Our most durable “everyday” vinyl option for decals and stickers that need to stay put. Permanent white vinyl has a stronger adhesive bond and is ideal for long-term branding, equipment decals, and graphics you don’t plan to move.

Best for: long-term decals, business branding, outdoor-facing applications, equipment labels

Great surfaces: smooth glass, metal, sealed plastics, smooth finished surfaces

Notes: For the best look and durability, we recommend lamination for most use cases.

Removable Vinyl

A flexible option designed for clean removal on many smooth surfaces. Removable white vinyl is ideal for promotions, seasonal signage, short-term campaigns, and situations where you may want to update graphics later.

Best for: temporary promos, seasonal decals, short-term branding, event signage

Great surfaces: smooth glass, metal, sealed plastics

Notes: “Removable” depends on surface type, age, and environmental exposure. Always test first when the application is high-stakes.

Vinyl Print Finishes

From budget-friendly to built-to-last. Go economy for short-term needs or add laminate for extra protection and a polished, professional finish.

Laminated (Gloss or Matte)

Lamination adds a protective layer that helps your stickers resist scuffs, light scratches, and everyday handling. Choose gloss for maximum color pop, or matte for a more premium, low-glare finish.

Choose gloss if: you want vibrant, high-contrast color.

Choose matte if: you want reduced glare and a softer, modern look

Economy (Removable White Vinyl with no laminate)

Our most budget-friendly sticker option. These are printed on removable white vinyl with no laminate, making them a great fit for short-term needs and bulk promos.

Best for: giveaways, short-term promotions, packaging seals, indoor use

Good to know: Without laminate, stickers are more prone to scuffing and wear from handling and moisture.

Holographic Vinyl

Maximum shine, zero subtlety. Our holographic films catch the light with metallic and rainbow effects that turn simple designs into instant attention-grabbers.

Rainbow Holographic Vinyl

A classic color-shift holographic that flashes multiple colors as the viewing angle changes. This is the most “loud” and playful option.

Silver Brushed Vinyl

A refined, brushed-metal look with holographic shine—sleek and modern, great for premium branding.

Gold Brushed Vinyl

A bold brushed-gold metallic look with holographic shimmer. Perfect for luxury vibes, badge-style decals, and standout logos.

Clear Window Materials

Modern, clean, and made for glass. From repositionable cling to crystal-clear adhesive vinyl, these options deliver that “printed right on the window” look.

Clear Window Cling (No Adhesive)

A non-adhesive material that clings to smooth glass, making it easy to apply, reposition, and remove. Great for seasonal signage and temporary window promotions.

Best for: seasonal promos, temporary window signs, rotating specials

Works best on: clean, smooth glass

Not ideal for: textured surfaces or long-term outdoor exposure

Clear Adhesive Vinyl (Transparent Decals)

A clear vinyl with adhesive backing for a “printed directly on glass” look. Perfect when you want the surface to show through and the graphic to feel integrated.

Best for: window logos, glass-door branding, minimalist decals, overlays

Design tip: Clear looks best with strong contrast and intentional negative space.

Papers

Clean, crisp, and presentation-ready. From everyday posters to photo-quality prints and rustic kraft, our paper options help you match the mood—bold, refined, or handcrafted.

Poster Paper

A classic choice for crisp indoor promotions. Lightweight, sharp, and ideal for short-term signage and displays.

Best for: promotions, events, presentations, indoor posters

Photography paper

A premium paper option designed for richer image presentation and sharper photo detail. Great when the print itself needs to feel elevated.

Best for: photo prints, portfolios, studio displays, image-heavy designs

Look: more “finished” and photo-forward than standard poster paper

Brown Kraft Paper

A warm, natural paper that gives prints a rustic, handcrafted feel. Perfect for brands that want an eco-inspired or vintage aesthetic.

Best for: artisan brands, café signage, rustic promos, packaging inserts

Design tip: Dark, bold artwork and simple layouts read best on kraft paper

Canvas

Gallery vibes without the gallery wait. Our canvas options add texture and depth for artwork, photo displays, and décor that feels premium and intentional.

19 mil Poly-Cotton Blend Canvas (Premium)

A thicker canvas option with a classic, art-forward feel. The poly-cotton blend is ideal for customers who want a more traditional canvas texture and a premium presentation.

Best for: gallery-style prints, studio displays, premium wall décor

14 mil Polyester Canvas (Lightweight + Durable)

A lighter canvas option that still delivers a strong presentation. Polyester canvas is a great choice for vibrant prints, consistent texture, and an efficient price point.

Look/feel: lighter, consistent texture

Backlit/translucent materials

Made to glow. These materials are designed for lightbox displays—so your graphics stay vibrant and legible when illuminated, day or night.

Backlit Translucent (Clear Gloss)

Designed for illuminated displays where light shines through the print. The clear gloss option delivers crisp detail and a bright, vivid look when backlit.

Best for: lightbox menus, backlit retail displays, illuminated signage

Look: bright, vibrant, high-contrast when lit

Backlit Translucent (Matte Frosted)

A frosted translucent option that diffuses light for a softer, more even glow. Great when you want a premium, low-glare look or smoother light spread.

Best for: upscale lightboxes, softer backlit glow, glare-sensitive environments

Look: diffused, smooth, refined
